Dynamic Saddle Solutions (DSS) – Saddle Purchasing Policy
Each saddle ordered through Dynamic Saddle Solutions (DSS) is handcrafted to order by our partner saddlers, with options to customize for you and your horse. We also maintain a selection of in-stock and demo saddles for riders who need something sooner.
1. Saddle Deposit & Payment Procedure
For Canadian Customers (CAD)

To initiate a new custom saddle order, a non-refundable deposit of CAD $3,000 is required.

All prices and payments for Canadian customers are in Canadian Dollars (CAD).

Final payment is due once we receive confirmation that your saddle is ready to ship from the manufacturer.

Credit card payments are subject to a 2.9% surcharge.

For U.S. Customers (USD)

To initiate a new custom saddle order, a non-refundable deposit of USD $1,500 is required.

All prices and payments for U.S. customers are in U.S. Dollars (USD).

Final payment is due once we receive confirmation that your saddle is ready to ship from the manufacturer.

Credit card payments are subject to a 2.9% surcharge and are processed in USD.
2. Payment Plans & Financing
Canadian Customers – DSS Payment Plans
For Canadian riders, DSS can arrange in-house payment plans:

Minimum non-refundable deposit: CAD $1,000 at time of order (or CAD $3,000 where the full deposit is required for special/custom builds).

Remaining balance is spread over monthly payments, with a 15% interest charge on the total order.

Missed payment fees apply as follows:
-
5 days past due: $25
-
10 days past due: $25
-
15 days past due: $50
-

If payment obligations are not met within 60 days, DSS reserves the right to reclaim the saddle. Any funds paid may be applied to costs, fees, and restocking.
U.S. Customers – Klarna Financing
For U.S. riders, financing options are available at checkout through Klarna (where offered and approved):

Multiple Klarna options may be available (for example, pay in installments, short-term financing, or other Klarna programs shown at checkout).

Approval, interest rates, and terms are determined directly by Klarna, not DSS.

U.S. customers choosing Klarna are subject to Klarna’s user agreements, credit checks, and repayment terms.
3. Ordering Timeline

Typical lead time for a made-to-order saddle is 10–12 weeks from the date we place the order with the manufacturer.

This timeline can vary depending on production schedules, shipping, and customs clearance.
Factory Closures – August & Christmas
-
Our partner factories typically close for approximately 2 weeks in August and 2 weeks over Christmas/New Year.

If your order is placed shortly before or during these shutdown periods, your estimated delivery time may be extended by approximately 2 additional weeks.

We will advise you of any expected delay at the time of ordering and reflect it in your estimated delivery window.

DSS will provide periodic updates on your order status.

Shipping costs and options will be confirmed with you before your saddle leaves the factory.

Where available, demo saddles may be offered for temporary use while you await your custom saddle (availability is dependent on fitter stock and location).
4. Saddle Trade-In & Used Saddles

Trade-ins are considered on a case-by-case basis for customers in Canada and the USA, subject to inspection and approval by a DSS Sales Manager or qualified fitter.

A non-refundable $500 deposit (in CAD for Canadian customers, USD for U.S. customers) is required to proceed with a trade-in arrangement.

The trade-in saddle must be delivered to the designated DSS representative or fitter within 5 business days of the deposit being paid.

Final trade-in value is confirmed after physical inspection of the saddle (condition, brand, age, and market demand will be considered).
5. Consignment Saddles

DSS may accept saddles on consignment for select brands and models that fit within our fitter network and customer demand.

A 30% consignment fee is charged on the final sale price to cover marketing, handling, and administration.
-
Consignment saddles may be listed through our DSS fitter network and/or online channels to help connect quality used saddles with the right riders.
